Can High School Seniors Take Real Estate Licensing Courses?

One popular query is whether or not a high school senior can take the real estate licensing courses. The short answer to this question is, no. The longer answer is because, in order to practice real estate in the state of Nevada, there are specific requirements you must meet that include:

Being 18 – In order to start, you need to have graduated high school or have an equivalent such as a GED. You must also have proof of citizenship.

Registering for 90 Hours of Education – This must be approved by the Nevada Real Estate Division and include 45 hours of Real Estate Principles and 45 hours of Real Estate Law, 18 hours of which must be specific to the state of Nevada.

Submitting Fingerprints & Background Check – These must be submitted to the Department of Public Safety

Taking & Passing the Nevada Real Estate Salesperson Licensing Exam – Key Realty School prepares you for every aspect of this exam.

Applying for Nevada Real Estate License – Prof of passing the exam is required within one year of submitting this application.
