Personality Traits of a Successful Real Estate Agent

So, you’re thinking about a career as a real estate agent in Nevada…what a great choice! There are quite a few benefits to this career choice, such as flexibility and limitless earning potential, but it can be challenging to carve out your niche and find your place in the market. There are a number of ways to facilitate success, such as taking quality licensing and continuing education courses and investing time and money in networking opportunities, but there are also a few personality traits you should espouse as well:

High Attention to Detail: Sometimes the smallest details can help sell a home or make your listing stand out. Also, you’ll be working with mortgage brokers and contracts, so the closing process requires a finely tuned attention to detail to be sure everything goes smoothly.

Tenacity: You’d better develop a thick skin and be prepared to keep at something. Your job will consist of following leads and it is vital that no opportunity falls through the cracks.

Aggressiveness: You will want to market your listings aggressively and have firm grip on the market to sell homes fast and get top dollar.

Availability & Organization: Make your peace with being on call most of the time and following up in a timely matter even when inquiries come in the evenings and weekends. You’ll want to have some kind of system for staying followed up and properly managing your time.
