Step-by-Step Guide to Licensing in Nevada
Here’s an overview of the step-by-step process students will need to complete in order to get licensed in Nevada.
1. Meet Basic Requirements
To begin, you must be at least 18 years old and be a U.S. citizen or legal resident.
2. Complete Pre-Licensing Education
Enroll in and complete 120 hours of state-approved pre-licensing education with Key Realty School. Choose the format that fits your schedule and preferred way of learning, online, in-person, or livestream—and get expert guidance every step of the way.
3. Pass the Key Realty School Course Exam
Demonstrate your knowledge and receive your certificate of completion before scheduling the state exam.
4. Schedule and Pass the Nevada State Licensing Exam
Use Key Realty School’s CompuCram® prep tools to master the material and schedule your Nevada Real Estate Licensing Exam through Pearson VUE.
5. Complete Fingerprinting & Background Check
Submit fingerprints and complete the required background check to satisfy state licensing requirements.
6. Find a Sponsoring Broker
Before your license can be activated, you will need to associate your license with a Nevada brokerage to associate with your license.
- The broker submits or signs off on your license application to the Nevada Real Estate Division, officially “associating” you with their brokerage.
