Find out whether you’re exempt from Nevada’s post-licensing education requirement:

If you meet one of the following criteria, you are exempt from post-licensing requirements and can select continuing education for your first renewal:

  • You hold a current out-of-state license at the time of initial application.
  • Within the last five years, you’ve held a Nevada real estate license for at least one renewal cycle prior to this renewal.
  • You’ve submitted two years of experience as a licensee when applying as a broker or broker salesperson.

If you don’t meet one of these exemptions, you must complete Nevada’s post-licensing requirements for the first renewal period of 12 months.

Who is it for?

Post-licensing education is for students completing their first-year education requirements only.

Some licensees may be exempt from post-licensing and, instead, are required to complete standard continuing education. This includes but is not limited to licensees who held a license in another state at the time of Nevada license application.

Students must have a license number to take post-licensing courses.

Available programs

Post-licensing education is offered multiple times per month at Key Realty School (both on-site and via livestream).

This course maintains a student’s understanding of the real estate field and sales process as they move through their first licensure year.

The Nevada post-licensing course is broken into 10 sessions which include a total of 15 modules.

See our course calendar for available classroom/livestream start dates.

Certification

For a Salesperson, Nevada requires 30 hours of education to fulfill post-licensing requirements.

Students may complete the post-licensing course in one session or in multiple sessions.

Students taking the course in multiple sessions/months should maintain a personal record of course dates attended.
